Well, obviously Christian but Jesus Christ is taught in other religion as being a prophet and not the son of God..."hypocrites"...of course they are....the true path to follow is study all religions, even the abstract ones, and make your own decision of the true path to follow...three I know of that are devout in their belief and are usually not hypocrites and they are Seventh Day Adventist, Christian Science and Mormon...the others are also devout but a kind of hit and miss scenario...personally am a born, that is born, not "born again", Christian but find other religious far more fascinating and beliveable than the mythological teachings of the present day Christians...if we stopped our beliefs at the end of the Old Testament, it would be amazing how much all religions have in common...anyway, I will stop there because I can prattle on forever....I have two other great sources of realist Christian beliefs but I can't find them right now...while it often promotes some of the myths this site is good...www.tomorrowsworld.org...good luck, I have been searching and seeking all my life I am not there yet..personally I lean toward Pantheism...the belief that we are all created in God's image therefore we are all gods of the earth and we are as one living cell, so to speak, here to take care of the earth..Christ in his teachings was an amazing naturalist and would be a socialist and environmentalist today...now for the onslaught of Christian attacks.

You misunderstand what Christianity is about. It's not about the world's definition of temporary "love, acceptance, tolerance & peace". It's about God's definition of real & eternal love, acceptance & peace. This means sin, suffering & death & those who hold on to sin as something that defines them cannot be tolerated (especially as far as eternity is concerned--heaven would most likely be more like hell to these people anyway).
Christians are merely forgiven sinners. Don't judge a denomination by its individual members. No one is going to "practice what they preach" perfectly all the time. Although LCMS Lutherans don't have a Law dominated ("morality, morality!") message to begin with, so it's easier to practice what you preach.
Learn what a proper distinction between Law & Gospel means. Although most pastors would deny that they've truly been able to master this distinction, pastors of the LCMS strive hard for it, because they rightly (& based on Scripture)believe it's so important.
Here's the short version from Luther's Small Catechism with Explanation:
What is the difference between the Law and the Gospel?
(A) The Law teaches what we are to do and not to do; the Gospel teaches what God has done, and still does, for our salvation.
(B) The Law shows us our sin and the wrath of God; the Gospel shows us our Savior and the grace of God.
(C) The Law must be proclaimed to all people, but especially to impenitent sinners; the Gospel must be proclaimed to sinners who are troubled in their minds because of their sins.
This last difference is probably why from your perspective you hear more Law & not much Gospel and in turn see Christians as hypocrites. Ironically it's not because of their sin, but your own that you say that. If you were repentant of & sorrowful for your sin, you'd probably be able to hear & see more of God's Gospel or Good News from a Christian. For the Good News is not Good News until someone understands the Bad News.

Actually, if you really read the Q'oran, you'd be shocked and stunned to find that Islam is Christianity on steroids.
Most Christians wouldn't be able to live up to the strictest teachings of Jesus and biblical law. Devout Moslems do. The Q'oran demands the practice of love that Jesus taught. Mary is revered much more than in the New Testament, and Jesus is even praised as a Savior, but He is not the last and final prophet.
There are several translations of the Q'oran though, and one of them was written by a man with alternate motives during the Crusades. THAT'S the translation that Islamic extremists use, and it encourages killing for Jihad and forced conversion, all of which BLATENTLY go against the teachings of the actual Q'oran.
I'm not saying I believe in it. It's just that I was stunned to learn what they really believe in. It is definitely Christianity and then some.

you employ opposite good judgment to make your "end" and your end relatively would not answer your question on the subject of genuine faith. between the numerous techniques of deception is the place one redefines words and words. right here, you redefine "genuine faith" as a church company. Your question must be extra alongside the strains of what the genuine slender course is that leads to existence. what's it one does with the intention to have eternal existence? So the answer to "genuine faith" in this mild is all approximately believing and information the gospel as taught via Christ and the apostles, with none extra bags that a lot of church homes declare as mandatory with the intention to be saved, thereby falsifying the gospel interior the approach. Salvation is done by faith in basic terms; thought, coverage, reliance, on Christ to keep you, and not faith in Christ plus club in a definite church company. If, as an occasion, you have faith you need to be a Jehovah's Witness additionally with the intention to be saved, you have widened that course, and negated the gospel, and negated faith. And, it relatively is the "huge" course that leads to destruction. slender is the path, and few there be that locate it. Why? because of the fact we are easily distracted and misled by rationalizations and different techniques employed to take our concentration off of religion in Christ in basic terms, onto different issues, alongside with club in a church, or following a definite "prophet". a competent indicator to despite in case you have compromised the gospel is to ask your self what you have faith, or have been taught, occurs to your salvation should you leave the Jehovah's Witnesses? Do you have faith your salvation is compromised? then you particularly've certainly bought right into a faux gospel. .

It certainly can't be Christianity. His teachings have been perverted by his followers over the years. Jesus would be astounded at the indifference of his followers to the suffering in the world, as well as the misery caused by his own followers.

Buddhism, Quaker, Unitarian - are some of the actual peaceful, tolerant, loving religions
Most Christians today are concerned solely with their own salvation and seem to forget that there is a LOT more to following their Christ than saving their own butts.

Were in the bible do you get your info. I don't recall anything about acceptance, and peace is taught as a spiritual peace. There are places were you can find people that follow his teachings, like an Assembly gathered to his name. If you are truly looking for a place then visit www.gospelhall.org . Here we try and follow Gods pattern of christian gathering to his name and Assembly teachings.

The problem is in the question - the use of the word "religion" is one that I have found to be fundamentally divisive. I much prefer to use the word "faith" - faith in God's plan for humankind as revealed by Jesus. As a preacher with the Methodist Church, I spend quite a lot of time turning people away from "religion" and towards "faith."

Buddhism. AFAIK, all Christian sects ignore the message in what are said to be Jesus' teachings in favour of focusing solely on personal salvation.
