I'm not exactly sure what the title is but I think it's 'Mr. Death' It stars Robert Redford.
In this episode, this little old lady who's been avoiding death for a while, reluctantly lets a young man, that's in some sort of peril, come into her home. She lets him rest and looks after him.
She explains that the reason that she is being so careful about letting anyone in, is because Mr. Death is after her. She knows because she's seen him - (but he always takes on a different form to try to fool her)
After the lady explains her reluctance and takes care of this guy who has been laid out this whole time (young Robert Redford)- He stands up (no longer sick or wounded) puts his hand out to her and quietly tells her 'It's time to go'.
She realizes that she's been had because HE is Mr. Death. She is sort of okay with it because death turned out not to be as scary as she thought.
After all these years it's still my favorite. Although, it did sort of creep me out back then. (like 30 years ago)
Anyway- Thanks.
I haven't thought about that for a long time. 'kinda cool looking back on stuff.

The one called "Kick the Can."
One old gentleman has a revelation that if the residents of his retirement home will all go out at night and believe and play the child's game "kick the can," they will all be turned into Children again.
Another old man, a sour face, condemns the idea as rediculous, and a long debate between this grump the advocate of playing takes place. It's really about believing and faith.
The whole body of the residents finally decide to do it just for fun, to accept the gamble, Why not?.
They all hobble out or go in wheelchairs, and move into the darkness. You see the face of the grump on the porch looking into the darkness where the patients are going to play and he has refused. He cannot believe. His face registers it all, his dismay and sense of loss.
You hear the can kicked, and then the beautiful voices of little children laughing as they run way in the darkness.

There is an episode called "The Hitch-Hiker". This lady was supposed to be driving to visit her mom when one of her tires blows out. All along the way she keeps seeing this man hitch-hiking and she thinks its very strange that he ends up everywhere she goes. Towards the end you find out that she did indeed die in a car accident caused by the blowout and the hitch-hiker is really Death.
Twilight Zone is still awesome!

I like so many of them (especially Eye of the Beholder), but I took out some of the videotapes last night and the one that made me think about how I would be if I were in that situation was 'The Silence'.
The one when a guy bets this other guy a million dollars that he can't be quiet and not talk for a year. In the end he wins the bet, but the guy that now owes him the money confesses that he's bankrupt and can't pay him. The guy who he owes the money to is upset and scribbles a note saying that he knew he couldn't be quiet for a year so he had his vocal chords removed. All I could say was man that sucks! But it made me think what would you give up for a million dollars, and would it be worth it. =)

Burgis Meredith plays an old guy who hates people and wants to be left alone so he can read his books. He gets his wish, ends up in the world alone and drops his reading glasses and crushes them by mistake. Now he's alone and can't see to read and no one is around to help him. The other one is the episode that shows people in a town leading normal lives and in the end it shows them being observed by aliens looking down at them while they're living in a glass tank.

The one I never forgot was one where Aliens abducted everyone on Earth and it's like the end of the world because you're the only one there.
All the stores are empty, there is nobody but you, you scramble across the street and there is nobody anywhere.
Work stopped, traffic stopped, the world is all yours and now what are you gonna do?? It's pretty scary!

I love the one where Burgess Meredith is a crotchety guy who just wants to be left alone to read. He works at a a bank I think, and he is alone in the vault when a bomb hits and everything is destroyed except for the library. He is overjoyed! Now he has all the books he could ever want to read and all the time in the world to be left alone to read them. Then he accidentally drops his glasses, and he steps on them, completely crushing them. Now he is alone, and he can't read because he can't see ANTYHING without his glasses. (they are like coke-bottle glasses) Pretty ironic, huh?

I don't know if I'd call it my favorite but this one scared me when I was a kid so that I am still scared of wood puppetts. I don't know the name of it but it had this guy who was a ventriloquist and he had a dummy named Eddie (I think). Eddie came alive and started killing people and at the very end he switched places with his human so he was the ventriloquist and the guy was the dummy. That one still freaks me out.
