I give my sons their baths at night every night regardless of temperature (be it winter or summer) and they dont get sick from that...its from being exposed to a virus or bacteria not the fact that he was in the tub....you can towel dry him very very well when you get out and dry his hair thouroughly too

It could be either. Being in and out of the ac all day could have done it and I would think could be more the answer but if you bath you son to late a night and he is not completly dry then he could have got a chill and that has also caused a cold. There really isn't a right & wrong answer but if you have to go out again for that amount of time try and limit the coming in and out of the a/c. Good luck with the father-in law sometimes they think they know everything but can cause more harm then good.

The cold associated with going in and out of AC is so common it has a name: a summer cold. Grandpa is way off the mark. A bath just before bed is the best time health-wise.
Colds are caused by a germ which was flying around that market looking for a home. The in and out of AC was just an aggravating factor, making your child more susceptible.

ur child could hav caught a cold for any reason. dust in the market, sudden temperature difference in a short period of time, or someone around him would have had a cold , and if u have never given him a bath in the night all long and one fine day u did it, then that could also be a reason. but to make sure that bath was the only reason , u have to try giving him a bath in the night when he is out of the symptoms of cold, and u will for sure know wht the reason is.

Anytime you go from one extreme temperature to another, it can cause a cold. The myth that going to bed with a wet head is nothing more than that...a myth. You are doing a great job, and you obviously love your child....if not, you would not be asking this question. A lot of people in the older generation still believe some of those old wive's tales.

two things could have happened. If he is going to bed with wet hair, then that could have brought on a little cold, but most likely it was the in and out of the heat and A/C. I get headaches from that. I cannot be in and out of a/c with it really hot out. The bath most likely cools him off and helps him sleep better.

My 3 year previous son enjoyed baths till he became right into some million a million/2. something replaced at that factor (no thought what), he hated them and has been taking showers on account that. All young ones are distinctive, it only relies upon on them x

He most likely got the cold from the store...not the temperature, weather, or bathing at night! I love taking baths with my son...except when he wants to squeeze things...he shouldn't be squeezing! Good luck!

Colds and illnesses are caused by viruses, not by change in climate or getting wet. Somewhere along the way he was exposed to someone with a virus and caught it. Bathing has nothing to do with it.

if you put your kid in a cool or cold bath then the big and frequent change in temperature causes the sickness of your kid...
