Everybody can give u pointers how one can sing but first do u have a sort of a natural touch about singing ? What I mean is a sort of vocal control that comes naturally...? and if u have it, then u will be able to know what I mean and sing better with all the pointers u are getting form others.

These people are giving you lame answers. Let me help. There's a thing called a diaphragm that stretches all around the bottom part of your stomach. That is where all your (GOOD) sound comes from. When you start to sing imagine there is a tunnel of sound coming from the diaphragm and coming out of your mouth.

Also when you breathe in your stomach(and or Diaphragm) should stick out and vise versa when you breathe out. This will help your voice tremendously. Practice by laying flat on the floor and putting a phone book on top of your stomach. When you breathe properly the phone book will fall off.

Once you have got that mastered imagine that the tunnel has expanded to the "talon" part of your face. (that's the forehead and nose.) This will create a better and clearer sound. When you hit the high notes imagine the roof of your mouth being raised and place your tongue over your teeth.

P.S. it really helps if you drink TONS of water. hope I helped.

I love to sing. I have grown up singing and now my kids love it also and have been in choir for years. I feel like I sing very well.
