ok well i hate when the missionary people come to my apartment and are all like "would you like to join our religion and if you don't then you will go to hell", and that happened just yesterday and well i kind of got pissed and said "well if your "god" wouldn't have just offed my parents then maybe i would give it some thought" and then i kind of shut the door in their face, was i too hard on them?

Mmm...nope. I live with my paternal grandparents who are Buddhists. One day, a so called Christian relative just strolled in and said, "Why are you worshipping DEMONS? You should be praying to god!" That left me bloodily pissed and was like "Why don't you fcking tell your god that we have our own? Demons?" After saying that she came down with Mental Illness, and no I didn't say those things to her.
If they are a common sight, just don't bother about them and give them a cold stare you are capable of and say 'no' and shut the door. It's your choice and your stand, keep it firm.

Sorry to hear that you just lost your folks.
I think that maybe you did overreact just a bit. I agree that the JW's are annoying, but I'm sure that they don't enjoy having doors slammed in their faces (and you know it happens *a lot*). A simple, "I'm not interested," will do, and then you can close the door anytime after that.
They can be persistent when you try to argue religion with them, so the key is just not to instigate it. If you tell them that you're a non-believer or some other religion, then you give them the opportunity to rebut you with the Bible. It's kind of hard to debate "not interested."

I don't think people should be door-to-door religious sales people.
First of all: it's not safe for either them or you. You never know who's going to answer the door or be at the door.
Second: It's an invasion of your personal time and space.
When I was a teenager I attended a Mormon church and we did this sort of thing. I didn't quite know why--other than they said it was what we were supposed to do.
I have never been asked to do this as a Christian.
And, if I were, I would decline the invitation because of the aforementioned reasons.

Your little story reeks of falsehoods. People don't come to the door and tell you that you're going to hell if you don't join their religion. They might insinuate that after hours of discussion, but not at the door. Most would never do that no matter how long the discussion.

You must be careful to whom you listen to,I am sorry about your parents.Plz don't blame God, for it was not God who took your parents...the thief commeth not but for to kill, steal, and destroy, Jesus came that we might have life and life more abundantly...and to your question, and think you are hurt and hurt deeply, don't bother yourself with worry about being too hard ,if they are true Christians they will but pray for you,and ask God to strengthen you through this pain. God be with you.:)

They should be ready for things like that. They are pushy you know. I try to be polite but sometimes I lose my patience too.
