the Americans are moaning that they pay outrages fuel prices. you don’t know how easy you have it.

uk v usa

in the uk you pay roughly 98p per liter
in the usa you pay roughly 3.29 per gallon

anyone see the difference?

well i'll do the math’s for you. in a us gallon there is approximately 3.785 liters. so in the uk, we would pay 3.71 GBP for the same amount of 'gas' which is 7.42 dollars

(98*3.785=3.71*2 (2 dollars to a GBP roughly)= 7.42

so next time your thinking about how hard you have it....... think about the Brits

Point taken, but where I live there's bollocks for public transport. If you don't own a motor, you're well and truly focked. The wanker that runs the local taxi service demands a 2-day advance booking and won't take you to the airport for a 6:00 AM flight (3:00 AM pickup) for any price.

confident. the united kingdom has continuously imported oil. That being the case, it merely is clever to place a severe tax on gasoline to deter it is use (waste), and additionally, to offset countless the commerce stability. the US became a gasoline exporter till the Nineteen Seventies. commonly exporters have low gasoline tax, and gasoline expenditures are low. the problem is that the rustic seems to have not discovered that it is an importer now, and better gasoline taxes are extremely suited. it is commonly according to what's got here approximately to our national debt, which has extra desirable dramatically, and the rustic's typical obsession with residing on credit, element of which became in charge for the recession. At this ingredient, any flesh presser who says he's going to advance taxes, does not get elected. And any flesh presser who votes to advance taxes, hazards having company money spent on opposing applicants to tension him out of workplace. The politics of greed has taken over the rustic, and the potentialities for restoration from which at the instant are not good on the 2nd.

I understand what you say. But you have great public transport in the UK. Here I live in a medium sized town and the bus service, one an hour, runs from 7.00am-6.00pm. If I had the choice I would not drive...there is no option if you want to get to work, or buy groceries, or pick your kid up from school.

Good point.

Keep Smiling.

Oh - be glad you don't have to drive several thousand miles to reach the other side (end) of the country. :o)
