I don't know about the price, but I do know if it is advanced enough to require chemo, it is probably terminal. I know you love your dog. But don't let him suffer just to keep him on earth a little bit longer. Chemo is very hard on humans and animals. Is the extra 2-3 months worth it?

In the uk they are expensive around £100 a session for a dog but you have other costs on top of that.
Chemo on dogs can be beneficial in young animals but if your dog is older then you have to consider if it is worth it. I really dont mean that in a cruel way, I am a veterinary nurse and i myself would not give chemo to my dog unless he was under 3 and then it would only be because i would feel guilty he was so young. With dogs i have seen so many older dogs go through chemo and it gives then 3 mnths extra and for me i would rather treat the cancer symptomatically and spoil my dog for however long hes got left rather than take him to the vets weekly and see him go through the treatment.
You never know he might just have the same amount of time left without chemo as he would have with it.
I can only give you advise through experience and everyone has different opinions i just didnt want you to feel bad if you couldnt afford chemo and felt you had to do it for your dogs sake, as remember it is not a cure and through experience it doesnt give them that much longer.
good luck to you.

Karen is right as far as trying to keep the cost down. A College is your best bet. If there is not one near you a vet is the way you will have to go and they very expensive. I am sorry you and your dog are going through this. I hope the chemo is something that will work. Good Luck.

I'm afraid I don't know the answer but would like to suggest you contact a university veterinary school. They often do treatments at very low cost.

Average cost is about $3k per year, sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on how well your dog handles the treatments.
