I have raw food allergy syndrome. Does anyone else out there have this? If so which foods are you allergic to. I basically can't eat anything raw except berries and citrus. I have a lot of allergies and it wasn't until I was 24 that I was told I CAN eat most fruits and veggies as long as they are cooked. I was also told that I have legume allergies and to stay away from peanuts but as an adult they said I do not test allergic to legumes. I am too scared to try...I have never had peanut butter. Thanks for all your help.

I used to be allergic to raw fruits and vegetables. I could not eat citrus either. The only raw foods I could eat were: apples, berries, onions, and pears. I could never eat a salad or slice a watermelon for someone else; just getting the juice on my skin would make me break out. You may notice that I am using past tense. I went to an allergist because of my severe pollen allergies. After five years of desensitation shots, my allergies to raw foods went away! Now I can eat all those foods raw and I do not break out.
