I've heard that it would be fun to sit and praise God and sing hymns for eternity in heaven. I never found church to be fun, and it's the same thing. Why did Satan not like it? He even formed a rebellion against God so obviously his needs weren't met in some way.

Heaven was just not Satan-friendly. Too many cliques.

You obviously heard wrong. Being in heaven isn't about having "fun". Angels actually have lots of responsibilities. They don't just fly around eating and drinking milk and honey like most people believe. And as far as satan goes, why are you asking a sensible question about him? You know he isn't playing with a full deck, so why would he like being in heaven? He wanted to have God's status, so that shows you right there that something's wrong with him. God gave him everything he needed, but he wasn't satisfied (just like most humans today).

My advice is: Stop believing everything you "hear" and start reading the Bible so you can get facts instead of opinions.

Satan wanted to be God, He was actually God's favorite angel. But when He tried to be God he got kicked out. That was the sin of satan. No different then humans thinking they are better then God. God is Lord, God is King, God is superior to man and worthy to be praised. But Heaven is like one big fellowship.

Satan had one of those same personality traits that a lot of us humans have, and that is, even when things are just wonderful we still want more and are never happy!!!! Satan rebelled against God because he was not happy, he wanted all the power and control for himself!!

God put a parental block on Heaven's internet connection and Satan couldn't download music.

Satan (Lucifer was his angelic name) had the highest honor of covering the throne of God. But he became proud and arrogant and wanted God's recognition for himself. It was not because heaven was not good enough - it was because it was not good enough for Satan's pride.

Many people today are also so fixated on themselves that (as my father used to say) "even God can't please them." This is true, because God chose not to make us little robots with no choice but to love Him and want to honor Him - rather he gave us free will and the ability to choose Him or not choose Him. It is kind of like the adage - if you love something, set it free.

Ecclesiastes 6:7 says "All man's efforts are for his mouth, yet his appetite is never satisfied."

Satan's heart was filled with pride, envy, and jealousy for more power. He wanted to be worshiped just like Jesus.
Note: Isaiah 14:12-15.

Selfishness is the root of all sin. It was his own selfishfisness that led to his own ruin.

This is what I have learned from the faith I once attended. Satan wanted the power and glory for himself, Jesus said he would sacrifice himself and not ask for anything and give that to his father (God) ..mind you they are talking about the bringing back of souls (ours) to God. Satan said he would bring everyone back, Jesus said let them choose...Satan got angry and decided to leave taking with him some angels who are now his servants...thats all I really know...but I don't believe it...but hey makes a good story.

Heaven will be terrific fun! Pure joy! Satan wanted to be God. He and his followers were cast down to Earth and will be thrown to Hell when Jesus comes back!

He wanted to be higher than God and that is not going to happen so God kicked him out of heaven. I can't wait to get to heaven. I want to see Jesus and walk on the streets of gold, see my Mom and talk to Paul and Peter and John everybody. See the baby that I lost. I just can't wait. May God bless you and keep you close. :-)

Satan, did like it...very much...He loved it so much that he wanted to be in charge...He said in his heart, that he would accend the throne of God and be like unto Him.

His heart was filled with pride, because of the Glory and beauty that was given to him... This was his downfall, quite literally.

The Bible records that eye has not seen, nor ear heard, the things that God has in store for those who love and trust him and are called according to his purpose.....It is going to be far greater than we can even imagine...(It will not be boring)....

This mystery, is not attainable by thinking even way outside of the box.....
