I am going out tonight with friends (I am over 30!) and I need a recommendation for a druity fun drink that does NOT contain a lot of alcohol that I can sip on tonight and still be part of the fun. I have too much to do tomorrow to end up three sheets to the wind.... THANKS!

Ask for a tall. For example, I like scotch and water. If I added "tall", they'd put it in a tall high ball glass using the same amount of scotch but adding twice the amount of water. Whatever you want (screwdriver, gin and tonic, vodka and 7, etc) is available in a tall.

A strawberry daiquiri is good fun drink. But I don't recommend a fruity drink if you want to feel well tomorrow. They make me thirsty and you may be tempted to drink more. You could just have one drink that you like a lot and then switch to club soda or a soft drink. I drink soft drinks quite often when I am out. No one even notices.

i am assuming that you meant fruity? what about a strawberry daiquiri? i can drink a ton of those and not get too drunk. I am also a big fan of Amaretto Sours but they tend to be a little strong. Blue Hawaiians are good too.
what i normally do if i don't want to get too drunk is alternate between alcohol and soda or water. plus eat before you go out- i usually try to have something starchy but not too filling.

Twisted Lemonaide
1 shot vodka
1/2 shot triple sec
sweet & sour mix - as needed
1 lemon wedge - for garnish
-Fill a pint glass with crushed ice
-Pour vodka and triple sec into glass.
-Fill to brim with sweet & sour mix.
-Garnish with a lemon wedge on the edge of the glass.
Notes: Add a splash of cranberry juice to make this a pink lemonade twist.

Win-Win. -- Lambic flow serves one a million-2 scoops vanilla ice cream 4 fluid oz. (a million/2 cup) lambic place a scoop or 2 of ice cream in a pitcher. maximum appropriate with the lambic. Serve immediately with a spoon.

goodluck not being 3 sheets...
every time I;ve tried that it hasn't worked...but I go out so rarely! & never regreted the next day...
But my fav drinks are maitais & tequila sunrises.
