my husband is Mexican American and against illegal immigration. his parents migrated here from Mexico legally and are against illegal immigration.
what are peoples excuses for them? are they racist too? lol. people need to get a life. its not all racial. you can't possibly claim that every single person against illegal immigration is racist.

Not all, but many.. one hears too much bashing and stereotyping to believe otherwise... if it were just illegal immigration what would the music, amount of children and religion have to do with it? And what about the constant reference to "monkeys"? Blacks did not immigrate here illegally but they were called that routinely in the past.. so yes it is largely about color.

I don't believe it's purely racial but that plays a big role in this debate. You know how many Russian, Chinese, and Vietnamese people come here illegally? Exactly. I guarantee you everyone knows how many Mexicans are here illegally. Whites don't like Mexicans and that's why this is a problem all of the sudden. We've always had illegal Mexicans coming to the U.S. but no one said anything until recently. Why? Because politicians use illegal immigration to gain ground when running for president or the Senate. Just like Bush used the "War on Terror" to win the presidency. Americans are puppets and politicians know how to maneuver everyone with half a brain........

I would say MOST people are against the fact that the more immigrants we take illegal or not, the less jobs we have for citizens. Personally if they come over legally then kudos to them if they are illegal then we should kick them back. the law is the law.

I think that the whole immigration issue is a way for people not to blame the government for issues in America. But a way to point the finger to someone else instead of taking responsibility.
However I do think that some of it is a racial issue. When this whole immigration issue started did you see people getting angry at people overstaying their tourist visas? Did you see people mad at students who overstayed their student visas? The overstaying of the visa issue is at least 40% of the immigration problem.
Tell me when is the last time you see people calling immigration on Eastern Europeans? Do you see people going into those communities and telling them to leave? There is quite a bit of illegal Eastern Europeans in this country however I don't see anyone telling them to get out. I mostly see it directed at the Latino/Hispanic community.
When people talk about anchor babies. I see no talk of people coming in from Asian countries who come into the United States and have their children here, so they can have a lower rate of college tuition. Instead of having to pay more money since they are international students. (which I find unfair since I have to pay out of state tuition)
There has also been an increase of members of extremist groups such as the KKK and other Neo-Nazi groups.
Groups such as the Minute-Men and other such groups. I don't see them going around college campuses and checking for people's residency, since there's a lot of students out there with expired visas. I don't see them walking around looking at any one from India or an other Asian country to see if the software engineer didn't have their work visa expired.
Even on this forum it's mostly directed at Mexicans and the Latino community. When do you see posts that talk about the evil illegal Chinese or the evil college student that has been here for 5 years and overstayed their student visa didn't graduated from college is working as a construction contractor?
I mean if your going to complain about illegal immigration then talk about everyone who is illegal and not just single out one group of people.

Of course not, but it is clear that SOME truly are. The same ones that have multiple profiles to call Mexicans and others obscene names.

I can assure you YES!!!!, the other reason that is about, less job offer is a fake, I lived and worked in this country for 5 years as a illegal, no one never asked about my immigrations status!!
I did a lot of jobs, those jobs were offered for americans first and the answer always was:
I am an american I wil never do this job!!!
got it!!
Lets face you americans need us and vice versa, face that!!

Not at all! It pisses me off when people who do not even belong in this country demand the same rights as the citizens. If the laws and decrees are not to any illigal aliens liking go back to where you came from. Oh yea if you are a legal alien, learn to speak ENGLISH!! it is the language of this land.
