1) How do I make all the text windows and such have a transparent background?

2) Can the windows which have a transparent background be done one at a time or do they all have to be done? (Can I choose which ones to make transparent?)

3) When minimizing applications, sometimes the window won't close and I have to right-click the program on the task bar... is there a fix for this?

4) Have any luck with GnuCash?

Thanks in advance!

I use to have a dual boot on my computer with Ubuntu and XP, but ever since I bought the new Windows Vista I'm having a hard time putting a dual boot on it. Anyways, I use to find a lot of my answers to my Ubuntu questions on their forums. They are very helpful and friendly to newbies

1) This is a feature of the window manager you've selected and there are several to choose from. I like KDE on that window manager, the transparency is a window property that you can select as a default for all windows or to change for each window by right clicking on the window to change properties.
2) See 1)
