I have Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing by David A. Madsen, but it's too much of a text book. I'm looking for something that I can just reference while doing drawings whether it's a book or a website. Thanks.

Google GD&T or buy ANSI Y14.5, whatever year you want. The ANSI text is basically and user's manual that defines the terms and conditions. Nothing too much text book about it, pretty dry stuff. GD&T is a monster. That is all.

Definately got the right book for you, used it in my GD&T class this spring. Was a junior level class but the book is written for a freshman or sophmore level reader. Bunch of drawings, diagrams, lucid descriptions, based on the current 1994 Y14.5 standard. Great feature is that is states ANSI definition and a practical definition too.

Its called Fundamentals of Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing by Alex Krulikowski.

Why not just buy ANSI Y14.5? You can probably even find a used copy of the book on line or buy a disk for about $150

there should be something in the "Machininst Hand book."

But it seems like an accessive expense for one small section of the book.
