Since you made this post on 6/1 and you are hoping/wondering if you could lose 20lb by 7/1. I would say it is possible but not healthy. Losing 20lb in ONE month means that for you to achieve that, you will cut back calories and nutrients necessary for your body to sustain itself. Doing the exercise you plan to do/are doing and cutting calories like that to achieve 20lb in one month, I would say in 2 weeks you will start feeling the "jitters" and weakness and starvation signs your body will give you. Drinking water and having a healthy diet and exercise routine - notice I say healthy diet, not starving yourself with water and exercise - you may loose almost 10lb in a realistic world by 7/1. If you are planning to lose the weight by the end of July, you have 2 months and could possible make it by working hard, eating healthy and drinking water like there is no tomorrow :) Good luck.

Depends on how much you weigh now. It's possible for a 300 lb person to lose 20 lbs in a month. If you weigh 150 lbs, it's basically impossible, not to mention dangerous.
More water and exercise are good starts though, and 10 lbs is a reasonable goal.

Doing cardio for 2 hours a day is not going to do you any good. After approx. 1 hour of cardio you are just burning muscle and not fat. If you want to lose do both some cardio and weights. Also just being on a diet doesn't mean you will lose weight. It depends on what your eating. If you don't eat enough your body will think it is starving and will slow down the metabolism. Hope this helps and good luck.

20 lbs. is 70,000 calories. That means that you will need to burn a little over 2000 calories per day more than you ingest. At your height and weight, your maintenance calorie intake is probably around 2200. If you cut your intake down to 2000 calories per day, you would need to run about 13 miles a day, or do the equivalent in other exercise to achieve this goal. If you cut your calorie intake down too much, your body will go into starvation mode, shut your metabolism down, and your ability to burn the calories will decline drastically.
20 lbs. is a pretty ambitious goal for a month. You might be able to do it, but usually, 2-3 lbs. per week is about the max.

My sister lost 15 lbs very healthy last month. She works out for an hour every day (or at least 4 days/week). She eats less calories than she consumes (key to weight lose). She is 5'3 120lbs and eats about 1600-1800 calories a day. Once you loose the weight you can consume more calores to maintain.

Stay with water, just plain, without additives and you'll lose weight. Stick to whole foods too. Diet foods are full of chemicals that work hard to keep you fat so you will continue to buy more!
