My bf and I have been friends for a long time and I like her a lot as more than just a friend. We do almost everything together and I want to let her know. How do I tell her because I also don't want to lose her as a friend too?

DON'T DO IT!

I read another post from a guy who did what you're thinking of, and it was disasterous. Check the link below.

What I suggest you do is be more subtle about it. Make a move without telling her you like her. That way if she does not reciprocate, you can go back to being friends, and maybe try again later.

I'm not saying you should try to jump her or anything, but be more playful. Try putting your arm around her like a date would, and maybe bring up the conversation about hooking up as a joke or hypothetical question.

DOn't ruin a good friendship if you're not sure she likes you too.

Ask her if she wants to go swimming. Then wade out into the water, say, "Look, I think I might like you the way that Michael Bolton guy was talking about in that song 'When a Man Loves a Woman.' Are you at all interested in me?"

If she says yes, great. If she says no, at least you'll be out in the water....so hold her head until she says yes or...

Well you could just tell her.. but then if things don't work out romantically with her then you will probably lose her as a friend. What is more important? Good luck.

I don't know but I would sure like to be a fly on the wall when you drop that bomb. But if she says "ok" then I want to be able to turn back into a man real fast!

start acting like you are a couple.
take her out on a date, put your arms around her, rock her world, put yourself in a "romantic light". Act more as a lover than a friend.
and then make a move.

ps: if she starts acting really uncomfortable when you do that, she'll either make it clear to you, or distance herself.
If she doesn't and seems to enjoy this new... light. busta move!

the advantage of that is you can measure her attraction to you.. in a way?

This is one of those moments where you've got to throw all your chips on the table and go for it. It's all or nothing, you've got to tell her straight up.
