sometimes there are things wrong with the kittens that we cant see or tell but mother cat can. And sometimes she will eat the sick kitten. you might want to call your local vet though.

she might have dissowned the cat. if a cat feels like it has to take care of too many kittens it might refuse to take care of a one of them. it takes some stress off the cat. try feeding and taking care of the cat on your own, its too young to be without a mother. tyr finding someone who's cats just had a litter and see if they will try and get that cat to take your kitten if it's to much work for you. sometimes cats will ace[t kittens form another mother.

im not 100% sure but maybe (as said above) she was carrying it or cleaning it.
You should take them all to the vet and get them checked tho to be on the safe side.
Keep an eye on her too.

she may not know what to do. how old is she???
they may also be something wrong withthe 1st kitten.
You may want to take all to the vet and have them all checked they may be an underlying problem.

i dont think shes bitingit maybe she giving it a bath or picking it up or something.
