Yes. That's a SERIOUS breach in trust.

Only you can answer that. It depends on how serious a violation of your trust you consider that to be, what the secrets were, and how long you have been dating him for (if its worth trying to work this out or not).

Were I in your place...I would feel really betrayed, and I probably wouldn't talk to the person for a week or so...but I would probably slowly get over it and not end things based on it. But I better be hearing apologies left and right.

The simple fact that that he didn't respect you or your privacy enough to not read something so intimate and personal without your permission is reason enough to dump him. Further more he has no reason to criticise you because all of us have skeletons hidden in our closets at one point in our lives or another and I am absolutely sure that he hasn't told you all of his secrets. Should your boyfriend ever go and tell someone intimate facts that were in your journal, you have two options: One you can eitehr deny it and make him look like a total fool (because he is one), or two you can be honest about it and deal with whatever comes your way next. Either way, this guy is not trustworthy at all and if you can't trust someone you shouldn't be with them. If he betrayed you with something like this what will he betray you with next.

I don't know about breaking up, that is a good reason for to. But I know I would sure give him a piece of my mind for reading something so personal. There are going to be things that you wrote in there that he will bring up to you in the future, trust me I know, no matter how innocent he will make it into something terrible. I would be so furious with someone that did that , they have no respect for anyone they do that to. Bust his family jewels sweety.

Not unless that sneek is teasing you about what he read. He does need to learn to respect other people's privacy. I doubt your boyfriend keeps a journal so you couldnt even get even. My husband doesnt go through my journal.

ask him why he did it. Talk to him and make him talk. If he was just curious, then just let him know it wasnt right. If he promises to respect your privacy from now on, then just watch him.

I dont think you should break up with him, unless there is more behind the story or if he did it to try to find certain things out about you.

good luck

I think that you should talk to him about how much he violated your privacy and you definately have a right to be mad but at the same time it's not all his fault....maybe he really loves you and wants to understand your past better-- try talking to him about it and letting him in more--talk about your childhood together! He just loves you and is curious.

No I wouldn't break up whith him I would tell him how you feel and tell him that you didn't like the fact that he did that and if he wanted to know anything then he should be able to trust enough to ask you. If it happens again I would break up with him.

No that would be ridicoulous. Do you have something to hide just take it as he knows and learned alot without tlaking to you. If he trys to throw something he read in your face you might consider it then.
