Let the coffee cool to room temperature before you use it. If not, it will have a bitter/vinegar taste.

The key is the coffee strength - for my iced coffee I make a pot about twice as strong as I usually would. Then I fill my glass with ice, I add a little vanilla syrup or creamer, and then add the coffee. The coffee gets watered down fast as the ice melts, so the stronger stuff makes a big difference in the taste! I hope this helps!

I use instant coffee to make a very strong espresso... put a rounded teaspoon of granules in a tall glass or mug and then add just enough boiling water to dissolve them (about 1/4 cup measure)... not too much.

Then fill the glass with ice, and add some cold water to half-full. Stir it around to give some of the ice a chance to settle and cool down the espresso. Add milk if you like, otherwise add more water to get the strength flavour you like.

I use a stronger roast coffee. Add crushed ice to blender along with the coffee and either a dallop of vanilla ice cream OR a tablespoon (or so) of sweetened condensed milk. Don't use enough ice to make it a smoothie, unless you want to.

Eta: You can use the syrups they sell in store, too, if you want to sweeten with a shot of flavour.

In a shaker I mix milk, instant coffee powder and suger/artificial sweetner. Mix until combined.
I put a scoop of ice cream in my glass, top with the coffee flavoured milk, and sometimes top with whipped cream.
