It is amazing how many people are blind to the facts, even going to the point of denying that global warming is even happening......??
I personally take comfort in the last part of Revelation 11:18.
It says that God is going to put to ruin those ruining the earth.
Also Isaiah 45:18 that God didn't create the earth simply for nothing. He had a purpose for the Earth. (Genesis 1:28)
God’s original purpose for the earth, that it be a paradise, will still be fulfilled. ( Isaiah 55:11)
Even now, when pollution is stopped, the earth has shown a remarkable capacity to renew itself. God created it to do so. If the overloading of the earth with pollutants is discontinued, a wide variety of microorganisms in water and soil can heal much of the damage. Additionally, there is reason to believe that when God steps in and directs things, this rejuvenation process will be even more effective. He can provide the training and perfect direction that humans now lack.
I really enjoyed this article: http://www.watchtower.org/library/g/2005/7/22/article_02.htm
It was very informative about the role humans are playing in all of the Natural disasters we are seeing.

THOMAS (A RESURECTION SKEPTIC) ABOUT JESUS (so-called):
- lesions are not proof its you
- lesions happened before
- its not the lesions that come from crucifiction, its the people who have lesions who get crucified
- lesions come and go.. its part of a cycle
- Jesus had more lesions before in a period known as "the lesion age" while working as a carpenter with his dad
- it is only a coincidence the lesions are at the same place as the man who got crucified
- Jesus did not die on the cross, it is well documented
- there is no consensus on the crucifiction
- this whole resurection thing is a hoax from roman politicians who try to get the jews to riot
- the Jesus resurection is a way to get your money for a new religion
- other people also have lesions
- we do not understand crucifictions and resurection
- this guy is just recovering from a box fight

Actually it is more of a waste of time to worry about the melting of the polar ice caps.
Reason number one: God is not going to flood the earth a second time. That means no worldwide flood such as in Noah's day.
Reason number two: God is going to completely destroy the earth by fire. I'll bet you those polar ice caps melt then.
So, worry more about where your eternal destination is going to be than the future of the ice caps.

Organized religion is about the individual, not the habitat. It is also much more concerned about keeping the organization alive than any one person, let alone another species. That's why the religious aren't truly up in arms about any thing but making sure you want to join or stay with them and not join some heathen imitation of religion. Because, of course, then you'd go to Hell. Yeah, I know, I'm going to Hell for that.
