Hello,

One old fashion recipe that does marvel. Make tea with honey, cinnamon powder and lime juice. It actually soothes, disinfects and reliefs.

Depends on the cause--if you just over-used your voice, then taking a break from talking is all that's needed, but it helps to drink fluids. If it happened from irritation, then you may have allergies and an antihistamine might help. Something like Claritin might be a good choice, while ones like Benedryl tend to dry up your throat and can actually make things worse.

First and foremost you need to rest your throat and vocal cords. Warm salt water gargles will be soothing as well. You can moistened a washcloth and heat it gently in the microwave and place it on your throat. Be sure it's not so hot to burn your skin. Drink lots of fluids to keep your body hydrated and that will keep your mucous membranes hydrated. Be sure and stay quiet. Don't talk unless you absolutely have to and when you do ~~~whisper~~~...Hope you're feeling better soon!
