I havent read anything about it being spiritually wrong; maybe you should ask someone in your church; a trusted someone who u know would tell you the truth. Or just look it up for yourself. I am a christian and I personally dont think there is anything wrong with kissing because, its not sex, but then again how many times have people thought things to be true only to turn out they were wrong. I think its all about personal perception. If you see kissing as only a way to express and show your affection then by all means you should do it. But if you feel that kissing would lead you down a path to sin by having sex, then dont do it. How much would you be able to handle, because if you think about it, kissing leads to this, then this leads to that, then that leads to sex. Do you know what I mean?

I'm sorry that so many people are being so insensitive to you on their answers. We are supposed to be Christians and all.I understand what you guys are trying to do. I believe you two are afraid kissing could go too far. Not kissing is better than falling into sexual sin. However kissing is not a sin in itself. It depends if the two of you have the self control not to go too far. It would be a shame for you guys to give in after staying pure for so long....Which brings up another point...I can't figure out why you guys haven't gotten married yet. I think it's time. It will be such a wonderful thing for you to be able to tell your children of your dating past and purity. Way to go. Keep up the good work!!

There are people who have kids and not married. Meaning they have done more than just kissing and most of them are even Catholics and Christians. And I did not hear yet of any partner denied of the sacrament of marriage for breaking the law of purity (if ever there was). It was wrong during the early times of Christianity which was copied from the Jewish traditions. Most actors and actresses in Hollywood are either married or not married kissing each other ( who are not even spouses and most are someone else's spouse) in front of million viewers.Maybe you should kiss your girlfriend now before someone else do it first to her or get married already since you are both of age.

Kissing does'nt have to lead to sex. It can be way to feel closer and to learn how to relax and enjoy the simple comfort of human contact.
On the other hand, religious views don't always keep up with modern times and views. After 6 years, a simple kiss should'nt be an issue. You're both adults.

I'm not completly sure but I think the bible just looks down on sex before marrying. Kissing should be fine. You guys have been together for 6 years have you thought about getting married?

it relatively is not even incorrect to have intercourse in the previous your married. it relatively is only a non secular thought. And one that may no longer even proportion via the international as total? the sole difference between incorrect and suitable. Is what you're making of it.

I waited 6 months before I first kissed her (now my wife). But I was just waiting things out.
But 6 years, my dear boy, that is far too long!
Next time you see her, bring her flowers, pucker up, and smooch her!

I am a baptist minister for 11 yrs now. As long as you kiss and that doesnt cause you to lust or go farther then you are ok. But once you get those feelings to go farther and do more then watch out. I admire you for what you are doing.

Kissing is 100% normal, and biblicaly correct. The bible states that compassion/passion for one person is actually doing whats right, as long as you don't kiss another woman. If you love her, kiss her, do whatever you want. Animal instincts like sexual interaction aren't sins, actually they are the exact opposite.
