Wapa means guapa = pretty, beautiful
it is used in MSN or internet. The same way you say LOL or anything else. It is a shortened way of guapa.
DEW sorry with this I cannot help you. No idea.

WAPA is the name of a Puerto Rican TV channel,
that's all I could think about; and as for "dew," I don't think that it is a Spanish word.

If he's teaching you Spanish, I'm afraid he's not doing a good job. That is not Spanish.
Let's start by saying that 'w' is only used in foreign words.
'Wapa' may sound a little like 'guapa'. 'Dew' doesn't sound like any recognizable word.

DEW WAPA --> Adéu Guapa --> Adiós Guapa --> Bye Beauty!
They are sound cognates. Adéu is Catalonian. So it is Catalonian-Spaniard internet slang.

wapa = guapa = beautiful (female)
or
doo wop? Art LAboes' killer oldies 4 eva
Edit:
Your friend probably said "Tu [eres] guapa" - you're beautiful. To someone not used to hearing spanish, "tu" would sound like "du" (for reasons of English phonology too complicated to explain here)....and you (being a little ditzy, ha ha) have spelled it "dew"

That's not Spanish, you should ask the person that's teaching you what did he meant.
