2 part question--what is your favorite charity and what religion/path do you follow.

Add a link to the charity if you'd like---you never know you might raise some money for it or somebody else may find it interesting.

I'm a Humanist, and my favorite national charity is the Muscular Dystrophy Association. I have a grandchild with MD, so I have a vested interest in the work the MDA does, but I have gone door-to-door to raise funds for MD research since I was a preteen.

Some other favorites I like to work with are Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, UNICEF, Oxfam, and lots of local organizations that our Humanist community regularly supports, oftentimes with direct volunteerism.

My favorite charity is Children International: http://www.children.org
Through Children International, I sponsor two lovely little girls, Lilian, 9, and Mayra, 8,, who live in Guatemala in impoverished conditions. Lilian's mother is deceased, leaving her husband to raise their six children of whom Lilian is the youngest, and Mayra's father deserted the family so that her mother must endeavor to support Mayra and her two slightly older brothers. All of the children in the programs have similar histories of deprivation and tragedy.
For the very reasonable amount of $22.00 per month, anyone can sponsor a child in one of the diverse sites around the world where Children International has established their programs.
I truly hope that through my assistance Lilian and Mayra will be educated and can escape the dead end of poverty to live meaningful and satisfying lives!
I am not religious and consider myself an agnostic.

I have many charities I like and used to help often. When I lived in NY I was a member of the local fire department and library board so I always gave time and money to them. I also did dog rescue and had 4 rescued basset hound(www.nybasset.org). I also supported diabetes research because diabetes is so common in my family, and donated generously to Goodwill. Now that I am in Morocco, I give money directly to those who I know need it.

I am Muslim.

The Islamic Relief Fund as they fight against the oppression & tyranny of the US of A holes. If i were a multi billionaire I'd donate 2-3 billion to a charity where I could claim it all back on my tax return like all the rich people do now. eg:- kerry packer, defibulators to ambulance service. His financial advisors got 98% of the outlay for each machine back.
