If you like big cities and exciting night-life, then spend time in Toronto - there are so many things to see and do there.
If you like the wilderness, outdoors, camping then head for Northern Ontario where the towns are great distances apart and there are still wide open spaces.
If you like something in between try Southwestern Ontario - that is the area from Niagara Falls in the east, to Windsor in the south-west, north up to the Bruce Peninsula.
That whole are is great - interesting cities and towns, pretty villages - check out http://www.discover-southern-ontario.com

Ontario is geographically enormous. I agree with all the previous suggestions. I would add that Ottawa has museums, Parliament, a canal and lovely parks. For wilderness, think about Algonquin Park; you can camp or stay in beautiful lodges. Stratford and Niagara-on-the-lake have wonderful summer theater.

For a big city atmosphere, Toronto is a great place to go to. I went there about 10 years ago and had a wonderful time.
