I think he needs to be taken very, very seriously. He has a very recognizable face, and that will help him TREMENDOUSLY in the race, if he doesn't slip up himself.
All along, I've thought Romney would be the Reps' nominee, but if Thompson gets in, I think he could run away with it. Seeing his ties to Hollywood, he's likely to get some of the more moderate liberals' support, as well.

All I can say is SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE! What kind of religion one follows has NOTHING to do with the presidency!! Don't be a single-issue voter, look at EVERYTHING that a candidate is saying. Oh and as a final note...Be smart and informed...VOTE DEMOCRAT!!! Democrats will take back the White House in 2008!!! >:o)

The election ain't for a while yet. He can't be any worse than Bush.
I'd still like to see Howard Dean or Dennis Kusinich(sp?) in the white house

I'd like to see if he is a fiscal Conservative. I hope so, it's about time we had one.

I don't think it matters who the Republicans nominate, Bush has dug too deep of a whole for even Jesus Himself to get elected.
Well maybe not Jesus......but definitely a primitive douche bag.

It's a little to early to say he'll "win and win big".
