It makes me sad, but it's their decision to make. I try to remember that my job is to offer the invitation, God is the One Who "gives the increase." It's His job to save people, not mine.

The sermon I live is more important than a one-time conversation with someone else, as well. When someone doesn't respond positively to what I say, that doesn't mean that what I do won't have some influence.

I don't believe Jesus commissioned us to be high-pressure salesmen of the Gospel.

Usually something like, well think about it and if you have any questions about anything or want to talk about it, I'm here for you. You can't force someone to believe. All you can do is present the truth in love and hope for the best. You're not supposed to force them or make them believe, or even, necessarily, try to persuade them to believe. Just present the truth to them and let God handle the rest. Christians are to plant seeds for God to use and allow His Spirit to make the seeds grow. Would that this were understood during the time of the Crusades. However, more will be witnessed to through your lifestyle than your words, so try to be on your guard and live a godly life. It'll go a lot further trying to present the gospel to someone if they see the evidence of the truth in your own life.

There is no compulsion in Religion. Lets say the Witnesses come to my door, I will tell them politely once that I am not interested, if that does not work, the door gets shut.

As a Catholic, I know they have been told lies about my faith, so there is no point in arguing with them about what I believe, I know what I believe.

People need to respect each others privacy.

Since my faith is a universal faith but NOT a primary god faith there is room for other faiths. I often take turns listening to someones else's faith (or lack there of- I still consider that "faith").

I guess as "witnessing" you could include the more complex aspects of my faith. Many people do not realize how complex their own belief system is and are not willing to take the time to really understand something they did not grow up with (even subconsciously).

Really though, who has not heard of Murphy?

Ever see that scene from "Flavor of Love" between Pumkin and New York? lol.
No, seriously I am always nice to people that want to tell me about their beliefs and if they get pushy I just kindly walk away.

If they say no then we are to do what Jesus told us to do, "And if any place will not receive you and they will not listen to you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet as a testimony against them." (Mark 6:11)

I would say thank you and leave but then I do not go door to door and only answer when asked about my faith and it's beliefs. If they ask then they are usually interested.

I wouldn't even bother starting to witness to you, after what you've done to Crimsongirl.

What a cold hearted person. I took your statement to her and showed it to the guy at Subway today. He agreed with me that you are rather vicious.

The young culture doesn't have any dignity.

I say 'Congratulations, you've just won the Rational Challenge!' and hand them a bible and some matches.
