All muscle tissue from cows/steers. Some examples, beef steaks ( all cuts), hamburger, stew meat, roasts etc. That is assuming the package says beef on it. If you have a recipe book, look through all recipes with beef in the ingredients and you'll come up with thousands of beef dishes.

If you get chemically free beef jerky, then no it's not a junk food. If you just buy normal beef jerky then it is, as it's full of MSG and sodium nitrate, which is bad for you. But it is a good source of protein, and it doesn't raise insulin levels, and is good as a midday snack. But watch out for what's in the ingredients. The more chemicals it contains, the more reason for you to give it up!
