"The Lord giveth the Lord taketh, blessed be the name of the Lord." From the way that David acted I would say that his son was brought to heaven.

the adulterous relationship was only half of Davids sin... he lusted after the woman, and plotted to kill her husband - a faithful soldier under Davids command - so that he could have her.
...

violating the sanctity of marriage and committing murder involve consequences...

David had removed himself from ability to stand in God's favor and answer David's prayer to cure the physical problem the child had.
...

David was pro-life concerning his child. but not pro-life concerning his soldier.

by David's sin... David was responsible for both deaths.

God had his reasons, much like he had reasons for originally planning to take Hezekiah to heaven 15 years before he actually did. What was the result of waiting? 3 years later Manasseh was born and he became the worst king in Judean history.

So I can trust God with decisions like these, desperate women quack "doctors" on the other hand.....

God has every right to the lives that He creates. Are you going to hold ME responsible for killing off a character in one of my books? Of course not! Why do atheists think they are equal with God?

And God doesn't rape OR murder! He asks. Just ask Mary. And as pro-abortionists are happy to point out, it isn't murder if it's legal. And God wrote the Law.

God did not kill David's son. David's son died from getting tangled up in a tree and could not get out and no one came along to help him.

God killed the people in Sodom and Gomorrah becasue they were having sex with people of the same sex and with children.

Which son was that? Solomon was the one that was born out of Davids wrongdoing, but he went on to become the king of Israel

You have hit the nail on the head, well almost. The point is that God can and does take life, just as he gives it. Thus, the taking of life is God's perogrative not ours, so on this basis your argument justifies my pro life stance. However, I accept others disagree and respect their rights to do so.

Look at David's response. He did grief over the lose. Indeed it was punishment for him. But he did say that he would see his son in Heaven.

Another popular christian excuse I've heard is "God's judgement is righteous. If God kills someone, it's a righteous act, and we aren't to question it."

He is God... we are humans.... we are inferior and only God, not us has the right to take someone's life. Because all of us (his children) are created equal and no one has the right to judge or kill the other.
