You have to listen to the language so your ears get used to it.
You can rent or buy French movies (subtitled).
You can also watch a lot of DVD (American movies or any countries) in the French language (you can just choose any languages in the DVD menus).

You can listen to Couleur France, a radio on the Internet, all in French
http://www.couleurfrance.net/

You can watch TV from France

You can contact any French association where you live (like the Alliance Française) where they have regular meeting between French people and people willing to improve their French language.

I'm French and I used to belong to a group where we would meet once a week and we would talk American for half the time and French for the other half so American people would improve their French and French people would improve their English. You can just start a group with French people wishing to improve their English.

You just need to listen to it more often. It's best to start off with subtitled movies, because then if you read an English word or phrase you know how to say in French, you can try and listen for it. There are a lot of good French movies you can watch. Even if you don't have French movies, just take any DVDs you have and see if it has French audio. All you have to do then is choose French audio and English subtitles.

List of French movies I've enjoyed:
Cyrano de Bergerac: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099334/
Le Dîner de Cons: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119038/
Papillon: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0281032/
À la folie... pas du tout: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0291579/ (P.S. At first it seems like a chick flick, but it's not. It's a great movie.)
Les Choristes: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0372824/

There are more French movies I've liked, but I can't remember them all off the top of my head.

Oh and podcasts! You can probably find a lot of podcasts in French that you can listen to.

Although I don`t have trouble learning a new language, a tip is get a partner who wants to learn French as well. Practice with them so you know you understand. If you don`t get it, review it again another day. Don`t Give Up!
