it is very hard to diet and stick with it. it takes awhile for your new eating habits to be come just that, habits. maybe you could have a Friend or family member diet with you. get an exercise buddy. It is always easier when you have support. My sister lost over 60 pounds with weight watchers. she was almost 190 and now is 120 she looks great. so maybe try that you could go to meetings and have support.
stick with it don't give up, to me loosing weight is like quiting smoking, you have to change your whole way of life and thinking it is very hard. but don't give up...you will get there.
I have the pilates dvd I think it works and is not too hard to do and it is only 20min

First of all... There is some good points made in the prior comments left here... To help approaching a diet make sure that there is variety (Make sure your dinner plate is full of various colors as this entails the spectrum of phytonutrients needed for daily living for anyone who strives to be healthier). A little research on-line can provide much insight on a few small changes to your diet that can have significant results in how you feel in the long run (look up American Food pyramid as a base guideline). Regular activities like going to the gym or whatever your schedule permits is vital in accommodating a diet. A diet alone will help prevent added weight gain as well as address internal health concerns (I.E cholesterol, glucose levels etc...) but it will be consistency in your efforts behind your exercises regime that will help determine how quickly you achieve the results you're looking for. If you're new to the whole work out scene, then take it by baby steps. Perhaps start off with a casual walk around your until you can comfortable get in the habit of doing a distance jog. Whatever activity you decide is best for you, just remember that these changes do not come quickly and patience is needed. It's like a runner who gets tired and starts walking.... Though he's fatigued to the point of walking he's maintaining his course and hasn't stopped (Don't give up regardless!!!). This is the mentality you need when approaching any health goal. Activities with others (I.E work out partner) are a great way to help stay motivated. I hope this helps bring some insight toward your goals. Good luck and be well!

I am the same, since having my son a year ago i have lost most of the baby weight but my tummy is flabby and we're off on hols next month. I keep saying 'tomorrow i will stop eating the vast amounts that i do, get off my bum and exercise'. Well i do, for about 2 days and then have to eat chocolate (half the problem is i have been addicted since that Heaven chocolate came out!).
Dont try to diet, just try to eat healthier food. I've found that sucking Werthers Origials stops me wanting chocolate for a fraction of the fat and calories (just have 1 when you want something sweet. Or try snacking on Cheese Snak A Jacks- they only have something silly like 10calories each and are well filling.

Hello Hessy
Yes. That is a tough one, hey. And believe me, it doesn't only happen to you, but to thousands of people around the world just like you and me!
The answer is simple. Your body starts craving for the foods you normally eat, and now you deprive your body of it, because you are on this diet! Then, after a couple of days, or if you can hold out that long, 3 weeks, you just can't take it anymore and start to binge. After your first binging, it's over. You've tasted the honey, so why go back to breadcrumbs...know what I mean?!
Ok, this is a problem I can help you solve, but to help you the best I can, I first have to know, how much do you weigh and how much do you want to lose?
If you can supply me with those answers, I can suggest the BEST way to my opinion how to lose weight safely and effectively.
I will really try to help you if you are serious - thats my mission - helping people.

You are probably doing diets that are to restrictive. They feel like work so you don't do them. Maybe you could find a way to eat a balanced diet that works in things you like but mixes them with healthier stuff. You can lose weight on a diet like this because you won't want to quit.

Exercise is a CRUCIAL part of weight loss to be used in addition with a "diet". Realize the worst thing you can do is to significantly reduce your calorie intake during your dieting, your metabolism "adjusts" in a sense to this new calorie intake and you'll pay for it when you get frustrated and get off your diet. Maintain an appropriate calorie leveled diet, instead of reducing calories ten-fold work on better food choices, and less processed crap.

You need a certain amount of will power. I'm in the same boat as you, i always start out with good intentions but I'm easily tempted. Why don't you buy yourself a nice summer dress a size smaller than you are right now, hang it on the outside of your wardrobe so you see it every time you go in your bedroom and make a promise to yourself that you'll get into it by a certain date. Hopefully that will get you motivated. I know it's really hard, but with the summer just around the corner, im going to really try my best.
I wish you lots of luck.... you can do it!!!!!!

I think it is because most people let a slip be a fall. Once you slip and cheat, don't just say it is all over with now. Wake up the next morning and start fresh. Trust me being slim feels better than anything can taste.
