ok when i use a translator it works when i type it in english to spanish but when someone says something to me i translate it to english and it makes no sense!!

You only think it works because you probably don't know the enough Spanish. But believe me, when you've translated something to Spanish, it hasn't made sense either. I can promise you that.

The do work but they can only translate literal things. If what you're trying to say something literal, it will translate. Anything else will be messed up. I'm a Spanish student and I know for a fact that when you tag direct and indirect objects on the end of your verbs it doesn't translate. You have to put them in front of the verb and even then sometimes it doesn't match up perfectly. Also I've noticed that translators automatically make just about everything in the masculine form even when you specify that it's feminine.

Translator will pick the mean of the word in Spanish without checking if it makes sense with the rest of the sentence. Is like picking a dictionary and choosing the first word in the entry without looking at the proper usage or relation to other words. Do no trust the translator!

We have been saying it over and over again. The web translators don´t work.
But for every question you will see at least 4 people offering a translation made by the web. And, of course, they make no sense at all.

The translators aren't the good to begin with since they're only computers, but you're also probably having trouble picking up the proper forms of words spoken to you and putting things in not quite the way they should be.

On line translators don't work if you don't have at least some knowledge of the language, so you can determine if the translation is correct.
Is the same thing when you use the "check spelling" button. If you don't have grammar knowledge you won't know the correct option.

Translator don't work. If you want to translate something, you have to ask here; it's much better than online translators...

Yeah, I have found that to be true too. Make sure not to use abbrevations and slang. It's never perfect no matter how hard you try though. Me and my friend at work like translating pages off the internet sometimes to read the funny stuff that comes up. We're dorks.
