Today I start the rest of my life. It helps me to lay aside the past and focus on the opportunities before me.

God/Goddess/He/She/It Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The Courage to change the things I can,
and the Wisdom to know the difference.
Perspective is a beautiful thing. This simple three lines reminds me everyday that the only thing I have control over is me and my attitude. In that lies everything necessary to restart the day and change the way i am feeling no matter the situation. I have a choice today on how I am going to deal with people, places and things. How I choose to react or not to react to them. Remember that the next time you try to blame your problems on outside things. If it weren't for the way you saw the situation it might not be so bad.. Remember each day to look for the gift in even the darkest of moments cause it is there if you chose to see it.

NEVER LOOK BACK DARLING ..IT ONLY DISTRACTS FROM THE NOW. (Edna Mode aka Brad Bird in Disney/pixars movie THE INCREDIBLES).To me and in my life it reminds me that no matter what happens forget it... the past is no longer real or relevant except my own head....so i have choices... i choose to remember only good things and ignore the bad it only drags me down...life's too short.....enjoy 'the now' ...enjoy the moment for what it is and then just keep moving forward. maybe you wanted something from the bible or a more philosophical source but affirmations usually come from the unlikeliest of places... where they come from doesn't matter it's their relevance and positive impact on the individual that counts.... and mine has been positively positive in every aspect of life. hope yours is too!
