I am very irritated that he would put other people in danger because of his irrational fear that he would die outside the U.S. He knew he was doing wrong when he flew to Canada and drove over the border, so his claim that he didn't know was a lie. If he was afraid, what does he think all the others exposed to him are? There should be some way to punish him for the danger and mental anguish he's caused everyone--an apology just doesn't cut it.
The thing that surprises me is that the authorities seem worried about those on the plane with him. What about the people in Canada, Greece, Italy and anywhere else he was out and about? He was "afraid he would die" there because "only America has the best medical facilities"--if that's true, did he condemn people in other countries to death? Who is seeing to their care?

As usual, I think the media has blown this up waaaaaaaaay out of proportion. I feel sorry for the guy. TB has to be in an active stage to be contagious to others, his is not yet to that stage, he isn't coughing, he has no night sweats, his wife isn't infected for pete's sake and she sleeps with him. I'd like to shoot the idiots that are blowing this up in the media.

I think he is full of crap. Anyone with TB is contagious since it is a respiratory disease that can simply be spread by talking. And if his father in law works with the CDC and specializes in TB then surely they all should have known this.

I think the passengers on the airplane should file a class action lawsuit against him and possibly the airline..and maybe some of the hotels he stayed at should file lawsuits too.

Well, obviously quarantine him, treat him and get him well.

I'm not sure if he broke any laws. If he did, then prosecute him. If not, then there's not much to do.

I think if he knew he was contagious he was using very poor judgment and willingly endangered innocent people...
