If an athlete in the Olympics had to take steroids for an illness...?

Would it still be considered doping if he wins the competition, and he is on steroids? (the steroids are used for an ilness).

That's a good question. If the athlete were ill enough to need steroid treatment do you think he/ she would be able to compete?

If the illness requires the use of the steroids, the athelete is not well enough to compete any way so it's a moot point.
