My husband has them and we asked the doctor how to get rid of them and he told us to put Compound W on them. We did and they just fell off. They have not come back and that has been about 8 years ago.

I think dark skin is stunning! I'm not just saying that. I am very pale, and don't intend on going to an unhealthy tanning booth anytime soon. That said, I love darker skin. I think we are born with what we are born with. I had commented on a youtube video of Tyra and a model who was saying how she never felt pretty because she was dark. I pointed out in my comment that being white, although idealized by society over time, is not something to be valued anymore. Or, at least, it shouldn't be valued anymore. Skin color can't define a person. I pointed out how it sucks that we get moles, sun burns (bright red tomato skin( that peels), and turn pink from exercise. I think there are beautiful women in every ethnic group, and as i had said in response to Tyra's video, "the victorian era is over, so why are we still obsessed with pale skin." My point is that you are perfect just the way you are. It's like the blonde vs. brunette debate. There are blondes with prettier faces/ brunettes/ red heads/ black hair...etc. Finally, just a additional comment...my sister's best friend has stunning brown skin, and looks like a model. I think it's a shame that there are so many people who judge based on skin color when it's such a trivial topic.

Hi, Those are skin tags. I just read about a cure, yesterday in the newspaper. One is "Liquid Bandage", and before that came along, people used to tie a silk thread around them to cut off the circulation. I'd say, get a friend to grasp that tag with tweezers, and tie a thread on it. Cheap Fix.

Skin tags should be removed by a doctor. Next time you go to the doctor ask ask for them to be removed. If you attempt to remove them yourself, you will be at a high risk of infection because of their location (dark warm place). If they are on the neck, back, face, etc. grab with a set of tweezers and shave off with a razor blade. They will bleed like crazy so have a styptic pencil handy. Make sure and clean the area before and after with alcohol. Bandage and keep clean.
Good luck!

Two ways to get them off:
(1) A dermatologist can numb the base, freeze it off with liquid nitrogen, it'll dry up and fall off within 7-10 days.
(2) A dermatologist can numb the base of the skin tag, cut it off, and apply a liquid coagulant to stop the bleeding then bandage the underarm.
Best of luck to you. Take care.

If you're talking about "skin tags", which are fleshy growths of skin that appear under the arms, you can try putting liquid badage on them. Supposedly that will cause them to shrink and eventually go away...provided they're not huge.
Otherwise, your family doctor can just cut them off in his / her office.

I talked to my doctor about them not too long ago, and she said that a new pair of stainless steel scissors will safely snip the sking tag at the end closest to your arm...there are not supposed to be nerves in them, so it should not hurt. It might bleed a little, so you will not want to do it or a day when you expect to be going out and getting hot.

If you're talking about skin tags, there's a lot of "natural oils" that can get rid of them.
