I recently noticed that my hair is thinning at a quick pace. Just a year ago, I had more hair. I'm 24 years old and I dont want to lose my hair, especially since I'm wanting to be a cop. That wouldn't look good in my opinion. What can I do to stop this and regrow my hair?

a few ways to slow it down.
1.stop wearing hats. not sure why but it can increase hair loss.
2.start using head and shoulders. it helps keep the hair follicles strong and in tact.
3.rogain (look into it first)
4.buzz cut. a short hair cut will make it look thicker.

You can try using Rogaine or some of the other prescription drugs for hair, but understand that once you start, you're on it for life. If you stop taking it, you start losing hair. And there's no guarantee it will stop or slow the hair loss.

My hair started thinning about that time, too. By about 40 or maybe a little after, I just went for a short buzz. I decided a comb-over wasn't for me. You'll reach the point where you decide, "The heck with it - it's only hair", and you decide to save your energy for more important things. Besides, short hair is a snap to take care of - no combing, easy to wash. The only down side is you really, REALLY don't want a sunburn on the top of your head!

My brother started loosing his hair even before you.
It's all genetics, and I guess you are just unlucky. Though, if everybody in your family still has a full head of hair, there could be something wrong.
I'm not sure if there's any way to regrow your hair... Try some of the products made for that... Though I've heard most of those don't work.

And, hey, I've seen bald cops. And they looked just as good as all the other cops.

I went to school with a guy who started to lose his hair at age 17. It happens - usually genetics is the cause. You can't stop it, but you could slow it down with minoxydil. There is a new foam out that is easy to apply. Get it at your pharmacy.
