If I won the lottery I would pay off all my debt along with my parents and inlaws' debt. Then my husband and I would travel as much as we could. I would also give a good deal of money to Turpentine Creek in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They give animals a home when they have none. They specialize in big cats. Meow...

I would not play the lottery. Our Pastor warns against gambling. However I did tell him in Bible Study that I would tithe! I won't play the Lottery because the chances are that it would just be a waste of money anyway.

Hire a lawyer and an accountant; set up college funds for my sister and younger cousins, investigate charities and donate a large chunk, travel around the world, and settle in a foreign country where I can learn the language by immersion.

First, though, I'd take 1% of whatever I won and stimulate the hell out of the local economy. Get it out of my system.

Buy some land in the N.C. Mountains,
Build a cabin there , then live where at night it looks like you can just reach up and pick a star. You never hear any noise except the birds singing, the creeks flowing, and your heart beating with happiness.

If It was a big enough lottery I would buy a larger house for me and my sons. I could donate my old house to a homeless family.
I have never traveled so I would organize a family vacation for two weeks to Hawaii. then I would finish college and send my sons to college too.

Pay off my mom's mortgage, send her on a cruise or vacation. Then I'd stop going to college and what I really want to do: study dance and dance all day. Then I'd support some children around the world.

Give it all away to charity and not have to worry myself about taxes, what to do with it, what to buy or how to invest. It always struck me as odd that one person out of thousands will win, and that person always buys houses, cars, and vacations--things that don't last or require even more money to maintain--when so many are in dire straits.
