So heres the deal... i've known this guy for about two years already but we just recently started, about 2 months ago, actually "talking" or whatever. Anyway he's a super sweetheart and every time i see him he treats me kind of like his girlfriend. But i am not sure if thats what he wants and is just afraid to admit it. (just a little background info... he hasnt had a girlfriend for about 3 years and his last and longest relationship lasted only six months. Oh and I have been single since January, my last relationship was 4 months long and my longest relationship lasted 2 1/2 years.)
The point is what do I do about this guy? How do i know if he really cares?

have some courage and ask him maybe you and him could have a great relationship together and may last a long time maybe he could be the one for you

if he treats u like a girlfriend, and ur not, that's not necessarily a good sign.
the thing is, up to this point, he's pretty much not taking charge, and letting it go on as long as possible.. til YOU say something! this is an indication that he might not be very good at making decisions or taking ur relationship to the next level. but it's still possible for him to learn, so that's ok.
my advice would be to let him know, that u feel he treats u like a girlfriend and it's sweet, and u'd like to know if he feels this might go somewhere. if he doesn't know, says no, or anything to that extent, then say "ok fine let's be friends, but u can't treat me like a girlfriend anymore." and date other guys! don't get hung up on a guy Before he's even "your guy!"
long story short... someone needs to make a move before u get hurt. and if u let it continue, ur gonna get hurt if he starts dating someone else right? but he didn't "promise" u anything, so then u'll feel like u can't relaly get mad. so get to the point, nip it in the bud, so u know what to do. either date new guys, or this guy becomes ur man. enough said!

If he acts like he cares, then he does. Some people don't like defining a realtionship they just like to go with the flow and see what happens. which is what I suggest you do . If there is no label on the relationship it makes things 10 times better because no one is holding you to anything or expecting anything from you.
Basically when you're together you're together and when you're not you're not it doesn't need to get anymore complicated than that. because it doesn't seem like your planning to marry this guy or anything.
