Without looking at your old bulletin or notes, can you tell me what last Sunday's sermon was about?

Won't this show how well you listen? Won't it tell a minister how effective he is at homiletics?

I remember what last Sunday was about. It was taken from an old Testament scripture. His point was, that if we back down from the devil..we will soon be hiding in caves and under rocks like Israel did in this scripture...

The Israelites saw that they were in trouble. They felt trapped. They ran away to hide in caves and cracks in the rock. They hid among the rocks, in wells, and in other holes in the ground.

Last Sunday our Pastor preached a sermon for memorial day. He talked about how our nation was founded on Christian values. He read a story about a young 20 year old girl in the army died for her country and how people like her help protect our rights as Americans.

Had to think, and I did remember before reading Mr. Crazy's post. Last week was Pentecost and the sermon (we call it a homily) was about the Holy Spirit. Geez, I didn't know there was a test.
