I want to brighten my horizons and move to a bigger city.

Stay at least 1 year, then you will be able to get a nice recommendation from them.

It comes down to your personal goals.

Some companies require that you stay at least a year if they gave you relocation benefits.... other than that it's up to you.

If you really like the place, then stay as long as you like.
However, it sounds like you want to expand your horizons and relocate.

Just be aware, the company will lay people off if they need to so you really don't have to give the company your lifelong devotion.

If you do leave, don't burn your bridges. Most people know not to, but there are a few people that still do.

I stayed 10 years and then realized that I was going nowhere in the company. On the other hand, a co-worker of mine that started the same time I did moved on after 6 months. My boss was pissed.
