been on 2 cruises with my teen and have another in Sept so I will tell you what he did
first weather you go or not look into the Club O2 and check out what they have the teen disco is more fun than he thought it would be, mostly chating. and look for the "free" time at the arcade too. I also know some carnival ships have mine-golf and and you are welcome to most adult events too, when in doubt there is the food, 24 hr pizza and ice cream.

Dont listen to tinker toy- he is an idiot. I just stepped off a carnival cruise yesterday and the rooms are not cold if you turn the air down!!!! duh! but anyway- you'll love it. From what i saw- when i stepped on the boat- no one knew anyone and then by the last day at sea- there were kids walking around in large groups just hanging out. You are going to meet so many friends and have fun on the cruise. And trust me - no one is walking around topless...they would get booted off the deck immediately. But i do have to admit that the pools do get crowded.....with teens- so more fun for you! have fun. and the one suggestion i can give you is participate, participate, participate. Carnival will not force you to do any activities so if you choose to stay in your cabin the whole time- you are guraranteed to be miserable....like tinkertoy.

OK Kid, here's what Carnival's web site says it has for you:
From the moment they step onboard, Club O2 teens are part of a cruise experience unlike anything else. Every activity and event -- from outdoor activities like: basketball, volleyball, ping pong, pool parties and high-energy dance parties -- has been specially created with 15-17 year-olds in mind.
Club O2 Daytime activities are designed to be a little more relaxed. Teens can hangout with their friends while watching a movie, listening to the latest music, playing video games or joining karaoke jam sessions. We’ve even set up teen-only shore excursions so your young adults can enjoy the sites and sounds of our beautiful ports with their peers.
All activities are coordinated by a Club O2 Director dedicated to keeping the activities fun for our 15-17 year old guests.
Many of our ships feature a dedicated lounge designed just for the Club O2 program. These hot spots feature comfy seating, video monitors, a state-of-the-art dance floor and an area to enjoy Coca-Cola products and other non-alcoholic specialty drinks.
Club O2 Directors are hired and trained to spark the interest of the teens and get them involved. Each director brings their own unique style to Club O2. Their motivation and dedication to the program ensures your teen’s cruise experience is unlike any they have ever had before. They are hosts, entertainers and often DJ’s for the teens.
Some of our Club O2 activities include:
• Board Games
• Card Games
• Music Hangs
• Theme parties
• Lido Deck Activities
• Reality Games Shows
• Trivia and scavenger hunts
• Pool Parties
So you see, you will meet other teens and you can all hang out together every day, on ship and maybe even on tours if their parents book the same ones. You don't even have to be around the adults unless you want to.

I have sailed with Carnival before, and had a great time. Both of my kids had a blast. They played games and had activites all day and most of the night. The biggest thing is to get a "ship on a stick". It is the most prestigious item that anyone can walk away from the ship with. This includes the adults. You can stay as busy or bored as you want.

Carnival has a thing called Carnival's Club O2 and according to their site it "is perfect for older teens with parties, hip music, great movies, video games (PS2 and Xbox), teen shore excursions, teens-only lounges and other great ways to hang out."
I didn't go on the cruise with any kids but we really didn't see the kids/teens too much because they all hung out at Club O2.
It sounds like you would really like it though and even has special shore excursions for the group. Here's the link with all the info:

I would definately check out the teen program. My brother went and had a blast. There are dances everynight at the disco along with numerous activities during the day and sometimes in the middle of the night. But that is usually were all the teens are at.

Definitely check out the teen club. I can tell you, I just took my 14 year old daughter to the Caribbean in April. She thought for sure she wouldn't want to participate in the teen club. She thought it would be lame. Needless to say she was there everynight until it closed. We went on Princess and that was about 1am. She met alot of new friends and had a great time. She still talks with them regularly on myspace as they live on the east coast and we're in Oregon.

Go to the teen clubs, hang out by the food, especially the ice cream and pizza. Don't cop an attitude or the neat girls will run away. Sisters can be fun and also be a babe magnet for you, just keep that in mind......

There is tons to do - pools, arcades, etc. You will not be the only person there that age and could probably hook up with some other people your age to hang out with. Have fun.
