hi, i'm not a native english speaker.
when i first saw the singer Miley Cyrus' name,
i got confused about it.
can anyone tell me how to pronounce "Cyrus"?
does it sound "SIGH-rus" or "Si-rus"?

Well, that depends. Since you ask me how do I pronounce it, I say : cirus ( or sirus, if you understand better )
In english, you can pronounce it anyway you want.
Some people say tomato, other say tomaito, director or dairector
No need to worry. The yanks have no idea of how to pronounce the english . I am a professor, and I was stunned to see native ( not Indians. I mean born in the country ) students asking ME ( the foreigner ) how to pronounce a word in THEIR language.
I just COULD NOT BELIEVE IT
