Potential friendship in the making?
I have a friend that was my former college teacher... we talk alot on email since the class has been over and today we met for lunch. We aren't good friends yet but it would be nice to really get to know her. (we are both female by the way). Like when she saw me she greeted me with a hug and said "Hey, Girly!" I was just wondering if this means she sees me as a good friend like I see her as. She told me that she wanted to go get pedicures soon. She is pregnant also and about to have her 1st child and I feel that when she has her baby in a month or so she will forget about me. Does she seem like in a way where she wants to get to know me more and hang out and all... What do you think? Also.. I tried to give her my number and told her to call me but she says email would be best for her right now.. so that makes me think shes not comfortable enough with me like she doesnt know me enough yet.

Well, her saying email is best for right now could mean anything....Might not want to jump to conclusions right now...At least she IS giving you some kind of communication outlet. Seems like she likes you as a friend....You just have to see what happens really.

I'm suspisious that she didn't want to be contacting you by phone (maybe she is afraid her husband will see the phone records and think she is having an affair?). It was a little unclear, was she inviting to to go with her to get a pedicure; is this customary (standard operating procedure) for women? It seems like she wants you as her friend; see what develops.
