Higher caffeine content perhaps?? Caffeine is a well known digestive irritant. Ground coffee or filter coffee is often higher in caffeine than instant coffee.

Sounds like lactose intolerance to me. Go for non-dairy creamers, not milk or cream.

Do you drink it black or with cream and sugar?
