If he's awkward or the kids appear to have a shopping spree and it's a weekend, I assume that this is his weekend to have the kids. If it's during the week and he seems perfectly normal, I usually don't think too much of it.

I think lucky Mummy...although my husband is great at many things, nurture was not on the menu the day he was born and I have to take care of the kids entirely by myself! He isn't being mean, he simply does not have a clue! In fact I often joke that I have three kids, not two, I count him in the equation too!

It depends on how the kids are behaving. I've seen dads alone with kids who are screaming, yelling, crying and fighting and think "Oh man, that poor guy." Other times i see them behaving and having a good time and think "Aw, how cute." My husband takes my boys out by himself all the time and i still think its adorable.
