Technically speaking he was sleeping wen duryodana and later arjuna entered his room...although duryodana entered first wen krishna got up he saw arjuna first so he supported the pandavas... But personally i think krishna was partial.. Truly speaking to make one right thing the pandavas did many wrong things... maybe they were incapable to fight the kauravas by themselves and thus krishna decided to help them out.

dharmam tu sakshad bhagavat-pranitam . . .
Real religious principles are enacted by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Although fully situated in the mode of goodness, even the great rishis who occupy the topmost planets cannot ascertain the real religious principles, nor can the demigods or the leaders of Siddhaloka, to say nothing of the asuras, ordinary human beings, Vidyadharas and Caranas.

Herein it is stated that the real religious principle is that which is given by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. That principle is stated in Bhagavad-gita. Sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja: [Bg. 18.66] one should give up all other duties and surrender unto the lotus feet of Krishna. That is the real religious principle everyone should follow. Even though one follows Vedic scriptures, one may not know this transcendental principle, for it is not known to everyone. To say nothing of human beings, even the demigods in the upper planetary systems are unaware of it. This transcendental religious principle must be understood from the Supreme Personality of Godhead directly or from His special representative, as stated in the next verses.

Lord Brahma, Bhagavan Narada, Lord Siva, the four Kumaras, Lord Kapila [the son of Devahuti], Svayambhuva Manu, Prahlada Maharaja, Janaka Maharaja, Grandfather Bhishma, Bali Maharaja, Sukadeva Gosvami and I myself know the real religious principle. My dear servants, this transcendental religious principle, which is known as bhagavata-dharma, or surrender unto the Supreme Lord and love for Him, is uncontaminated by the material modes of nature. It is very confidential and difficult for ordinary human beings to understand, but if by chance one fortunately understands it, he is immediately liberated, and thus he returns home, back to Godhead.

The Religious principles are handed down from time immemorial and since it does not have any beginning or end and is eternal, it is called as Sanatana Dharma or as per the occupation and spiritual order it is also called as Varnasrama dharma. Pandavas followed this very nicely, so much so that even while they were in the forest, they were accompanied by the brahmanas and sages who desired the company of the righteous Yudhisthira unlike the unlawful Duryodhana who adopted evil ways to kill them in lac of fire, poisoning Bhima, tricky gambling match, attempt to disrobe Draupadi etc....

Krishna should have prevented Yudhishtra from gambling-He did not do that---When Draupathi's modesty was challenged in the open court of Drudhirashtra,Krishna is said to have come to her rescue by giving enormous yards of saree(Cloth)-He is "All Knower"-He could have come a little early and prevented Yudhishtira from keeping Droupathy as a bait in the gambling. In the war also, there was nobody ,except perhaps Himself, who could kill Bhishma,& Drona.By adopting Fraud, cheating and foul means He made Arjuna to kill Bhishma,Drona,Karna,Jayathratha and Beema to kill Jarasandha and Duryodhana --all by foul means and cheating. He did not prevent the killing of his own nephew, his best friend Arjuna's son Abhimanyu, but said to have protected Abhimanyu's son from Aswathaama-he could have protected Abhimanyu by His Divine powers. In Maha Bharatha the birth of Paandavaas and death of Kauravas-all stinking, and nauseating.
