Religous objections against interest?

Are you ******* kidding me?! I just talked to a woman whom I was helping to get an education, but when the time came for her to talk to financial aid, she said she couldn't go because of her religious beliefs which prohibited her from accepting loans that generate interest?! WHAT KIND OF RELIGION PROHIBITS ECONOMICS? Seriously, I want to know what kind of religious sect that is. I didn't ask, cuz I am not allowed to here. But, I am WAY curious.

The Bible condemns usury, which is the charging of exhorbitant and unjust interest. Like most other biblical principles, some people take it to ridiculous extremes never intended by the writers of the gospel.
