I think it would depend on the person. I would be very intrigued to hear what they have to say!

If someone was dead for three days, in a civilization without refrigeration, they would be utterly putrid and reek of death. All the biochemistry that makes life possible would be seriously decomposed. In the entire history of planet Earth, every living organism has begun as a zygote and grew to become a living example of their species. Life is, by necessity, a developmental process. It must always begin at the beginning. Anyone who claimed to have witnessed the afterlife could never have actually been dead. Please appreciate that real death has nothing to do with subjective near death experiences. If Christ actually died on the cross, in three days without refrigeration He would have been reduced to a stinking rotting corpse. I think it's far more likely that He survived His crucifixion and His descriptions of the afterlife were the result of the hallucinations He experienced while recovering from the shock of his injuries.

Since the earliest manuscript of the New Testament is dated about 50 years after Christ's crucifixion, it's far more likely that it's actually just a work of historical fiction, written by men with a particular religious agenda.

there is no afterlife, the bible clearly states that the dead are conscious of nothing at all. The book of Revelation talks about a certain number to go to heaven to be co-rulers with Jesus in his Kingdom (the kingdom prayed for in the lords prayer) that will rule from Heaven, over the earth, that has humans that will not die.

Consider the example of Lazarus, Jesus raised him after three days and Lazarus didn't say anything about being somewhere else, he was simply asleep in death. Then he awoke when Jesus ressurected him.

It depends on what they believed about the afterlife BEFORE they died. I would strongly consider that the person might have a strong agenda to get his own particular message out. It really would depend on a lot of things, whether or not I'd believe them. I don't usually believe what people tell me just because they tell me.

If he reappeared again after having apparently "died" I would believe that he did not die in the first place.

Also you do not want to believe everything you read in 2000 year old documents .

Yes, in that hypothetical situation I would believe him/her. However, I'd need some very solid proof that the person actually died and came back to life.

1) That's impossible.
2) Hypothetically, I would not necessarily believe them. Death/ near-death experiences may bring on all sorts of hallucinations. There is no way of knowing.

effective attempt, yet God says you be attentive to He exists, so which you're with out excuse: "For the wrath of God is outlined from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of adult adult males, who suppress the reality in unrighteousness, through fact what would be common of God is show up in them, for God has shown it to them. For through fact the creation of the worldwide His invisible attributes are patently seen, being understood via the failings that are made, even His eternal skill and Godhead, so as that they are with out excuse, through fact, notwithstanding in the event that they knew God, they did no longer glorify Him as God, nor have been grateful, yet grew to become futile of their strategies, and their silly hearts have been darkened. Professing to be sensible, they grew to become fools,"
