Freewill does not mean action without reaction. Of course there will be reactions and consequences to your actions. But, your actions are your own. You are not a puppet, no one is truly forcing you to do things against your will. That, my friend, is free will.

The doctrine of "freewill" in the Christian faith is defined as the right to make moral choices and then to deal with the consequences of those choices.

An action that has no reaction would not be "freewill".
