Vicodin is a class 3 narcotic, with hydrocodone. Percocet is a class 2 narcotic with oxycodone, which is a much stronger narcotic derivative. The risk of addiction varies with the dosage (small), with the length of time the drug is used and the personality of the patient.

Vicodin is a bit smoother than Percoset. In other words, for whatever you're being prescribed the meds for (usually pain), Vicodin eases you without as many POTENTIAL side effects as Percoset. But everyone's body is different, and you might not find that to be true. I am speaking in general terms, though.

Percoset are defiantly stronger Oxycodone.
Vicoden are Hydrocodone, which isn't quite as strong. You'd have to take at least two vicodin for the same effect of one percoset, depending on how many mg each is. Percoset is way better.

Percocets are stronger and easier to get addicted to.... Vicodins are addictive also but not as much.... Percocets are a bit too strong for a lot of people.... if the vocodins arent strong enough ask your Dr. for a perscription of Norcos..... They are extra strength Vicodins..... They work best for me....
